I am an illustrator and photographer based in Tallinn, Estonia and Pisa, Italy.
I got my bachelor’s in orchestral conducting. After graduating, I worked as a freelance musician as well as a music teacher. Later I also studied Estonian Native Textile and after that I focused on my PhD studies in Musicology at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Musicology. From 2003 until 2019 I worked at the University of Tartu, first as the head of Music Department and later as the head of Centre of Arts. During that time I also taught natural fabric dyeing and culture criticism.
I've studied illustration at the Estonian Academy of Arts' open academy book illustration course and in Tartu Art School. I have worked on a variety of projects, among which are illustrations for children's books, newspapers, children magazines and various graphic design projects. With my illustrations I love to tell stories to children.
In photography I’m especially interested in documentary, mainly street photography. I’m driven by the desire to bring out different aspects of life, to point out the details that could not be seen at first glance.
